IT Teacher

I've been loving IT from an early age and I have started teaching IT and economics to teenagers and adults early in my college years. Working with children I thought to be a challenge, but it soon turned to be one of the best and most rewarding occupation. I'm in this project since the beginning of 2015, which was also the start of this project. I'm teaching the children of these centers what computers are, how they work, what can you do with them and most importantly how to use them. Starting from the basics to more advanced levels like HTML and CSS, I'm hoping to bring these children on the same level with children who have access to everything and why not go even further and make them competitive and ready to fight for a better place in society and to be an inspiration for others.

I am a firm believer that education has the power to transform lives. I believe it's important for kids to know that we adults are here to support them. Whether they need help with their studies, have questions about life, or just need someone to listen, I'm here for them. I want every child to stay interested and excited about learning, so each lesson is fun and feels worthwhile.

It is a incredible experience to guide a child to learn new things. For those children who have never had the opportunity to us a PC it is fantastic to discover how many things they can do with the help of technology, which is part of our daily life. Information technology is constantly growing, which is why we must do our best to use the available resources to facilitate the education and development of children, so necessary for their future.

English Teacher

Why teaching? My high school Romanian teacher was the first teacher I met who was much more than a teacher. She was a mentor, a life coach, a friend when needed, and an ethical, creative and patient person. She taught Romanian language and literature through the lens of real-life experiences, helping us see beyond school and exams. By the end of twelfth grade, I knew that I wanted to offer children the same kind of learning experience: one that would make them enjoy studying and discover meaning in what they learned, just as my teacher had done for me. Years later, I graduated from the Faculty of Letters, specialising in Romanian and English, and completed a master's degree in Pedagogy. Since then, I have tried to carry my high school teacher's legacy forward by helping my students understand that learning can be enjoyable, useful and fulfilling.

IT Teacher

I chose to become a teacher because I love working with children and being part of their journey as they grow and learn. I believe that all children deserve patience, understanding, and the opportunity to feel included, regardless of their background. As an IT teacher, I am passionate about helping young learners explore today's technology and develop the digital skills they will need in the future. One saying that inspires me is, "Many hands make light work," because friendship, collaboration, and mutual support help people learn and grow together. For me, teaching is not about chasing performance, but about creating a safe and welcoming environment where children feel valued, explore their creativity, gain confidence, and discover new things through learning.

Who We Are

01

Who We Are

Teachstream Association is a non-governmental organization dedicated to supporting children from families facing social and economic challenges. It works with young learners aged between 7 and 18 and aims to offer quality education and personal development opportunities that would otherwise be difficult to achieve. Among the programs offered are courses in computer science, mathematics, and English, as well as various extracurricular activities.

How It Started

02

How It Started

Teachstream began in 2015 as Kids.acadEMy, the educational charity initiative of EveryMatrix. For three years, it supported children in two daycare centers belonging to Bucharest's Child Protective Services: "Pinocchio" Center and "Casa din Tei" Center. It later became a fully established non-governmental organization under the name Kids Academy Association, before changing its name to Teachstream Association. The core mission, however, has remained the same: to support children's education through regular courses, learning resources and activities that respond to their needs.

Our Mission

03

Our Mission

The mission of this initiative is to help children move beyond the limitations created by their social and economic circumstances by providing them with resources they would not normally have access to computers, tablets, smartphones and knowledge. We want these children to have the support they need to continue their education, gain confidence and become an inspiration for their community. The continuous progress and good results encourage us to continue expanding our work, both to new centers and through new activities.
